• Mine geologist at three mines in Finland (Kemi, Vihanti and Hammaslahti) in 1979-1984, at La Minita in Mexico in 1982, at Bidjovagge in Norway in 1985-1989, and at Viscaria AB in Sweden (Viscaria, Pahtohavare) in 1989-1996.
• In charge of exploration for gold in Bidjovagge in 1986-1988, for Viscaria AB in Northern Sweden in 1990-1996
• Project Mgr for the Pahtohavare mine project in 1989-1990
• Worked as the Benchmarking Officer for Outokumpu Mining in 1997-2000
• Senior Geologist in Finnish and international mine projects for the Mine Technology Group/Outokumpu Mining in 1997-2001
• Was in charge of gold and chromite projects in the Sudan in 1999-2001

• Was nominated the Chief Inspector of Mines/Ministry of Trade and Industry in 2003. Resigned in 2006.
• Took the Kevitsa multimetal mine project from a advanced mine project to mine decision as MD of Kevitsa Mining Oy in 2006-2008 
• Country Mgr for Kevitsa Mining Oy/First Quantum Minerals Ltd in 2008-Aug 2010
• From summer 2010 CEO and founder of KS Consulting Ltd/KRISCON (in marketing)

• Member of the board of the Finnish Association of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers
• Chair of the planning committee for the Finnmateria 2010 Congress
• Was a member of the committee writing a handbook for exploration and mining in protected areas in Finland, published in 2007
• Participated in a first attempt to write the principles for a National Mineral Policy and the principles for Government support to mine projects, approved by Government in 2006
• Member of the board of Nordic Mines AB since spring 2010
